And even though they’ve maybe faced an eyebrow raise or two from the public, they’ve proved that a significant age difference doesn’t have to be a hurdle to relationship bliss.
Age Difference: 11 Years
The gorgeous couple met on the set of “Green Lantern” when Lively, fresh off her “Gossip Girl” success was just 22 and Reynolds was 33 (and married to fellow actress Scarlett Johansson at the time.) They got married in 2012 and, in addition to drawing huge laughs for their social media antics, are now the parents to two daughters, James and Inez.
Age Difference: 17 Years
Much to everyone’s surprise, the world’s most famous bachelor finally settled down with the crazy accomplished human rights lawyer who was 17 years his junior. Clooney was 52 when he proposed to then 35-year-old Alamuddin, and the glamorous couple soon got hitched in a star-studded affair in Italy.
As for married life, Clooney recently shared with Esquire that it doesn’t get much better: “There were all the jokes and the bits and I get all that stuff, but I couldn’t be happier right now.”
And now the jet-setting duo has twins Alexander and Ella.
Age Difference: 12 Years
Queen Bey and Jay-Z met when she was just 18 and started dating when she was 19 and he was 31. The power couple quickly became the it couple of music and dated for seven years before finally tying the knot in a top-secret ceremony in 2008. They had daughter Blue Ivy in 2012 and twins Sir and Rumi in 2018, and continue to collaborate in both music and life.

When the youngest member of the Jonas Brothers, now 25, announced his engagement to stunning “Quantico” star Priyanka Chopra, 36, the world was left scratching their heads. The newly betrothed celeb couple were apparently connected through friends and once they finally made the leap from just friends to dating, it only took a mere two months months to put a ring on it.
When dating rumors first started to swirl, late-night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel joked with Chopra about their large age difference by asking “Are you dating Nick Jonas? Isn’t he like, 11 years old?” The actress gamely replied, “I didn’t ask his age. 11? I did not know that. Good to know.”
Age Difference: 34 Years
The famed music producer, 68, and former “American Idol” winner, 34, recently announced their engagement and were promptly trolled by strangers judging their whopping 34-year age difference. Foster’s grown daughter, Erin Foster, who is one-year older than McPhee, even jested (lovingly) on social media to the proposal announcement bycommenting, “Mommmyyy.”
Age Difference: 17 Years
This May-December romance had everyone scratching their heads. Former “Full House” star and bonafide fashion designer Olsen was a mere 25 to the French banker’s 42 when dating rumors started swirling.
Much to everyone’s surprise, the unexpected duo got hitched in 2015. As to everyone’s comments about their age difference, Olsen once told The Edit, “Everyone has an opinion. I find it’s better to focus on what’s in front of you and to keep putting one foot in front of the other.”
Age Difference: 15 Years
Few people seem to know that the popular talk show host and actress have such a large age difference between them. But despite the large age difference, the couple knew they were each other’s soulmates pretty much from first sight when they met in 2004. DeGeneres told People, “I’m so grateful for the love in my life, because not everybody finds that. Not everybody finds that best friend.”
The couple tied the knot in 2008 — after the California Supreme Court overturned a ban on same-sex marriage — in a gorgeous private ceremony on their Beverly Hills estate.

Alright, alright, alright, the heart wants what the heart wants. The free-wheeling actor and former Victoria’s Secret model and TV show host met when Alves was 23 and McConaughey, 36. And, according to McConaughey, he was not looking for love at the time, but when you spot your soulmate, you just know.
“I wasn’t hunting … Lo and behold, it didn’t take long for fate to have its way. And then, this amazing woman walked across my field of vision and I thought, ‘Who is that?’ And it was Camila,” he told Cigar Aficianado.
Six years and three kids later, the couple finally got engaged and married in 2012.
Age Difference: 25 Years
Sometimes it’s just meant to be. Despite their quarter-century age difference, the stars all pointed the way to this surprising romance — both Douglas and Zeta-Jones were born on Sept. 25, 25 years apart. The handsome couple got hitched in 2000 when she was 31 and he was 56, and they have two kids together.
While their marriage has had its rough spots, with a throat cancer diagnosis for Douglas and Zeta-Jones recently revealing she deals with bipolar disorder, the couple remains as solid as ever.

This hilarious duo met when Offerman was 29 and Mullally, 41, and they’ve been married since 2003. While the pair does a lot of work separately, they also tour together and often make guest appearances in each other’s projects. Mullally, for instance, famously played one of Ron Swanson’s exes, Tammy, on Offerman’s TV show “Parks and Recreation.”
The secret to their marital success? Mullally told GQ: “We have a two-week rule. We’re never apart for more than two weeks. Just not being separated for Jurassic periods of time seems to help.”

When Hans Solo and Ally McBeal started dating, people couldn’t believe it, and now they’re one of Hollywood’s longest-lasting couples. The unlikely pair started dating back in 2002 when Flockhart was 38 and Ford, 60, and finally wed in 2010. Flockhart was already mom to adopted son Liam when they got together and Ford is now the legal father.
As for their major age gap? Flockhart tells People she doesn’t even notice. “Sometimes I even say, ‘Wow, I keep forgetting that he’s 22 years older than me.’ It doesn’t factor into our relationship at all. I like the way he looks first thing in the morning. It’s not handsome, it’s more cute. He looks like a little boy.”

Following the nasty and public divorce from Baldwin’s first wife, actress Kim Basinger, the actor found love again with yoga instructor Hilaria Thomas who was 26 years his junior. The couple married in 2012 and are now parents to four children.

It’s no surprise that when a then 40-year-old Sarah Paulson began dating 72-year-old Holland Taylor in 2015 that more than a few eyebrows were raised. When iconic action star Bruce Willis first met model Emma Heming at the gym, he didn’t realize he was about to meet the biggest love of his life. The couple tied the knot in 2009 when Willis was 54 and Heming was 31. Despite their 23-year age difference, Heming tells Wmagazine that they have a lot in common: “We’re self-made, we came from the same background, and we went to work and became self-sufficient.”
Willis, for his part, is still smitten. He toldCloser eight years into married life, “I don’t want to be away from Emma at all. While most people know that Warren Beatty and Annette Bening are one of Hollywood’s most iconic and longest-running power couples, what they may not know is that there’s an over two-decade age difference between the two accomplished actors. Bening first met Beatty on the set of the film “Bugsy” and while she resisted the legendary bachelor’s advances at first, the attraction was apparently too strong to resist.
As of Beatty, he always knew she was the one. He once famously toldPeople about giving up his playboy ways, “I remember losing interest in the garlic chicken I was eating within 20 seconds… And the garlic chicken had been very good.”

Lancaster shared withYours that she always planned on marrying an older man so the age gap doesn’t phase her: “I actually wanted to be with an older man, someone mature who’d been around the block. He has all the graces of a gentleman and all the respect for a woman that younger men haven’t yet acquired.”

The current President of the United States of America and First Lady have quite the age gap between them, but that should be no surprise. The former “Apprentice” host had always favored much younger women, so when the then 28-year-old Slovenian model first met the 52-year-old businessman back in 1998 in a New York nightclub, she was wary.
As the now oft-told story goes, Melania resisted Trump’s advances having been made aware of his playboy past and capitulated a week later. They got married in a lavish ceremony in 2005, and their son Baron was born a year later. The supposed secret to their successful marriage? Separate bedrooms — even in the White House.

The Maroon 5 frontman and Victoria’s Secret model started dating when he was 33 and she was 22. They got married in 2014 and now have two children together.
Levine, who was known for dating lots of models prior to Prinsloo, admitted to Jay Leno that while he never believed in marriage, the right person helped change his mind. “Famous last words: ‘I’ll never get married.’ You know, I still don’t think you have to get married, unless you meet someone that makes you want to marry them. And then you marry them and it’s wonderful.”

It’s a tale as old as time: co-stars that fall in love on screen and in real life. This was the case for “True Blood” stars Paquin and Moyer who played the series’ main star-crossed lovers Sookie and Bill and, according to Moyer, fell in love pretty much at first sight.
He once revealed on “Watch What Happens Now”: “By day three or four — oh, this is going to sound so syrupy — but I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life with her. It was within seconds, really, and it just became a thing.”

He’s 46, she’s 19, and they’re in love. The comedian and singer are definitely one of those May-December romances that has everyone going, “Huh?” The couple apparently met at a game night when Taylor was presumably still a teenager and started officially dating when she was 18.
In a recent Instagram Story Q & A, Cook even joked about their giant age difference when a fan asked, “What advice do you have to those in age gap relationships?” He responded, “The only thing you have to do is plan that your deaths will be somewhat far apart.”
Wise words, indeed.

Oscar-winner Vikander and acclaimed “12 Years a Slave” actor Fassbender started dating in 2014 after meeting on the set of their movie “The Light Between Oceans.” But they were so low-key about it that most people hardly knew they were dating, let alone in a serious relationship.
Per their style, the two secretly tied the knot in 2017. Vikander recently toldVogue about married life, “I feel I’m more happy and content than I’ve ever been.”

They may come from different vampire universes (him from “The Vampire Diaries” and her from the “Twilight” series), but that didn’t stop this genetically blessed couple from wasting no time once they found each other. In 2015, they got engaged after just six months of dating and were married later that year.
Reed and the 10-year-older Somerhalder often post loving tributes to each other on their respective social media accounts and advocate for numerous environmental and animal rescue causes together. They welcomed their first child, daughter Bodhi Soleil, in 2017.

In case you missed it, “Walking Dead” star and former “One Tree Hill” star Burton are a serious couple. As in married-and-share-a-child couple. If you didn’t know, you wouldn’t be the only one, as the pair have been so super secretive about their entire relationship that many fans don’t even know they’re together.
The pair were set up by mutual friend and “Supernatural” star Jensen Ackles when Burton was 27 and Morgan 43. This recently married couple had quite the auspicious start. The revered folk singer-songwriter was married to his wife Pegi for 36 years when they announced their split in 2014 — followed soon after by news that he was now with Hannah. (You can put two and two together.) And the haters were hating.
Even Young’s former Crosby, Still, Nash & Young bandmate David Crosby called Hannah “a poisonous predator” at the time (which he later apologized for). The couple reportedly met and bonded over their mutual passion for the environment and activism. As for all the constant negative press, Young claims, “It doesn’t matter. We don’t give a s***. We don’t care because they don’t know what they’re talking about.”

France’s president, Emmanuel Macron, sparked conversation last year during the French election because he’s 25 years younger than his wife, Brigitte. Not only that, but he was a student at a school where she taught.
But he handled any eyebrow raising with political poise: “If I was 20 years older than my wife, nobody would think for a single second that we couldn’t be legitimately together,” he told Le Parisien. “It’s because she is 20 years older than me that a lot of people say, ‘this relationship can’t be tenable, it can’t be possible.'”

Despite their 13-year age difference “Transformers” star Megan Fox and former “Beverly Hills 90210” actor Brian Austin Green go way back. Fox was only 18 at the time when she met 30-year-old Green. One of Hollywood’s longest running couples have been together for a lot longer than most people realize. While they’ve been married for an impressive 21 years, they had already been dating on and off for 15 years before that.
Huffman met Macy back in the ’80s when they were both working actors in New York, and despite him proposing multiple times throughout their courtship, it took a while for her to finally say yes. She once told Tribune News, “I was so scared of marriage that I thought I would’ve preferred to step in front of a bus.”
Huffman and Macy wed on Sept. 6, 1997. They welcomed their first baby, daughter Sophia Grace, three years later. Then in 2002, they celebrated the birth of their second daughter, Georgia Grace.

Funny man Steve Martin, 72, met his current wife, journalist Anne Stringfield, 50, 11 years ago when she was a fact-checker for The New Yorker and had to call the actor regarding a piece he wrote for the publication. They were phone friends for a while, and the rest, as they say, is history.
The May-December couple tied the knot in 2007 and welcomed a baby girl in 2012. So, how does it feel to become a dad for the very first time at the age of 67? Martin tells the Daily Telegraph, “Oh, it’s fantastic — you have all the time in the world. You’re all set and secure in life, and you’re not building your career, so you have a lot of time.”

The Hollywood actor is trying to make a comeback, and who better to have by his side than his girlfriend, a former equestrian vaulter 34 years his junior and mother of his ninth child? Gibson, 62, and Ross, 27, have definitely faced their share of criticism about their relationship, especially considering that Gibson’s first child is 37. But Gibson isn’t fazed.

The “America’s Got Talent” judge and model, 45, has a history of dating younger men, but people’s tongues were still wagging when she stepped out with her latest man, Tokio Hotel musician Tom Kaulitz, who’s 28.
Klum recently revealed toIn Style that the 17-year age difference doesn’t faze them in the least, but since their romance has become public, the question of her age has been “shoved in [her] face” more often. Luckily, the stylish mama of four has a zen approach to all the critics: “You have to just live a happy life without worrying too much about what people think because worrying is only going to give you more wrinkles.”

The singer (Beyonce’s little sis), 32, began dating the video director, 55, in 2007 after being introduced by none other than Janelle Monae and Pete Wentz. The couple tied the knot seven years later with an epic New Orleans wedding.
Despite what people may think, Solange has revealed that she was the one to pursue her husband first.

The 27-year age gap wasn’t the only reason this couple had a rocky start. Grammer, 63, started dating Walsh, 36, while he was still married to his third wife Camille Grammer (now of “Real Housewives” fame). Walsh later revealed to Oprah, “I’m not proud of the way we started out because he was in a marriage.”
That said, the couple wed in 2011 and have three children together.

The Hof first met the Welsh model back in 2011 when she approached him for an autograph. As the story goes, he only agreed to give it to her if she gave him her number in exchange. Fast-forward to July 2018 when the couple got hitched.

The 46-year-old Tesla CEO and dad of five and indie musician Grimes (real name: Claire Boucher), 30, made their big couple debut at the 2018 Met Gala. The unusual couple supposedly met over Twitter when Grimes made some joke about artificial intelligence that Musk had also wanted to make.
And from Twitter flirting, the couple managed to turn it into a real-life relationship. But who knows if this relationship will last long enough for Grimes to take a trip around the moon through Musk’s other company, SpaceX…

Star Trek’s former Captain Jean Luc Picard, 77, met singer-songwriter Ozell, 39, through mutual friends in 2008. And despite almost four decades between them, the pair hit it off and got hitched in 2013.
Understandably, Ozell’s father — who is actually five years younger than Stewart — wasn’t initially thrilled about their pairing, but has since come around. Stewart revealed toThe Daily Mail that his father-in-law “rings me up and says, ‘Hey son, it’s your father here.’”
Ozell understands why people may be shocked at their enormous age gap, but, to them, age is but a number. “He is so youthful and I guess I’m kind of an old worry wart, so we bridge the gap,” she says. “It doesn’t come up much. He’s in better shape than me, which infuriates me.”

The Rolling Stones frontman, 75, is no stranger to dating much younger women, but a 44-year age gap may be a new record, even for him.
The notorious lothario met ballerina Melanie Hamrick, now 31, in 2014. The couple welcomed son Deveraux Jagger in December 2016. Jagger is also a grandfather of five and a great-grandfather to one.
